Parkoras Anyone?

Thank you to Chardi Kala Project co-director, Tarnjot Brar and his family for cooking up delicious pakoras for Bellingham’s tiny home villages, Swift Haven and Unity Village, during the last cold snap. Pakoras are veggies, dipped in a batter made with garbanzo flour and spices, and deep fried. You can taste them on any Sunday (10:30am – 2:00pm) in any of our Gurdwara’s Langar Halls (free community kitchens serving all comers). The Chardi Kala Project also delivered Indian food feasts, prepared by the Guru Nanak Gursikh Gurdwara on Pole Road, in Lynden, during the recent cold weather when village residents were unable to use their outdoor kitchens.

From Marlo, Swifthaven resident: “Thank you for the pakoras. I have already eaten way too many and plan to do so again later.
